Teaser Visual Revealed for Parallel World Fantasy TV Anime "Maousama, Retry!"

Adaptation of "mistaken identity" isekai series written by Kurone Kanzaki and illustrated by Makoto Iino coming in 2019

A new teaser visual (above) has been revealed for Maousama, Retry!, an upcoming TV anime adaptation based on the series of isekai fantasy novels written by Kurone Kanzaki and illustrated by Makoto Iino about an ordinary guy who is mistaken for the Demon Lord when he's accidentally transported to a parallel world.

Aside from the new teaser visual and the fact that the TV anime will broadcast in 2019, no further information (such as the cast, staff, and release date) has yet been revealed about the production.

The original Maousama, Retry! novels are published in Japan by Futabasha under their M Novels imprint, and a manga adaptation with artwork by Amaru Minotake is also published by Futabasha under their M Comics label. The story follows Akira Ohno, an ordinary working adult who finds himself zapped into a magical world after logging into a video game using the character name of "Maou" ("Demon Lord").

In the new world, Akira begins traveling with a young lady who is dealing with a disability that incapacitates one of her legs, but it becomes clear that Akira and his new companion can't conceal the overwhelming power of the Demon Lord, and they cause trouble wherever they go. Soon they are pursued by forces that want to destroy the Demon Lord, including a holy woman and an entire country, and a "mistaken identity" fantasy about an ordinary person with the appearance of a diabolical tyrant results.
