Crowdfunding for the anniversary project will launch on December 25
The official website for the anime adaptation project based on Namori's slice-of-life comedy manga Yuruyuri today revealed a teaser visual and main staff for the new OVA to celebrate the manga's 10th anniversary, titled Yuruyuri, (ten). The manga has been serialized in Ichijinsha's Comic Yurihime magazine series since June 2008, and the new OVA project was announced at the "Nanamori-chu Happy Birthday" event back in April 2018.
Daigo Yamagishi, who has served as assistant director for Shinkansen Henkei Robo Shinkalion, is
attached to direct (his main directorial debut), alongside screenplay writer Takahiro (RELEASE THE
SPYCE story creator/series composition) and character designer/chief animation director Kazutoshi
Inoue (RELEASE THE SPYCE sub character designer). In place of the first two TV anime's Doga Kobo
and the OVA "Nachuyachumi!" and TV anime third season's TYO Animations, Lay-duce (RELEASE
THE SPYCE) newly works on anime production. All of the main voice cast are confirmed to return.
It is also announced that a crowdfunding campaign for the 10th anniversary will be held between
December 25, 2018, and February 18, 2019 (The OVA itself will be produced even if the campaign
fails to reach its goal).
The rewards from the crowdfunding include:
- Special CD (including the new OP/ED songs)
- Limited edition Blu-ray of the OVA "Yuruyuri,"
- Ticket for a limited event to be held in Tokyo on March 3, 2019
- Special booklet
- Calling over your name by Akari at the March 3 event
- Autographed colored paper by Namori with your favorite character illustration
Other details including its goal will be announced at a later date.
