Third season of super-powered detectives vs. super-powered criminals series hits Japanese TV in April of 2019
A new cast member has been announced for the third season of Bungo Stray Dogs, the ongoing TV anime in which famous authors are re-imagined as super-powered detectives and super-powered criminals waging war for control of the city of Yokohama.
In season three of Bungo Stray Dogs, voice actor Kenichi Suzumura plays Katai Tayama, an expert at using computers to gather information who has known Doppo Kunikida for about ten years. Although Tayama used to be a member of the "Armed Detectives Agency", he's now a shut-in who doesn't leave his apartment. Tayama spends all of his time wrapped up in a futon he calls "Yoshiko", and he's really terrible when it comes to talking with women. His special ability is called "Futon".
Based on the light novels written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa, Bungo Stray Dogs is directed by Takuya Igarashi and features animation production by BONES. Crunchyroll currently streams the first two seasons of the TV anime as well as the Bungo Stray Dogs theatrical anime film, and describes the story of the series as follows:
Kicked out of his orphanage and on the verge of starving to death, Nakajima Atsushi meets some strange men. One of them, Dazai Osamu, is a suicidal man attempting to drown himself in broad daylight. The other, bespectacled Kunikida Doppo, nervously stands by flipping through a notepad. Both are members of the "Armed Detective Agency" said to solve incidents that even the military and police won't touch. Atsushi ends up accompanying them on a mission to eliminate a man-eating tiger that's been terrorizing the population...
The third season of Bungo Stray Dogs will broadcast in Japan beginning in April of 2019.
