Hiroshima Toyo Carp roll out Gundam-themed goods starting this week
Mobile Suit Gundam is contuining its triumphant 40th anniversary tour, this time with another stop in at Japan's Pacific League — specifically their boys in red, the Hiroshima Toyo Carp.
The Carp are enlisting Char Aznable and his super-fast Zaku to make an appearance on new, limited-edition merchandise. The merch depicts team mascot Slyly decked out as an RX-78, plus art of Char Boya: Char Aznable drawn in the style of original mascot Carp Boya.
The collab art will be available on a variety of items, along with an epic image of a Gundam in Carp colors swinging a bat:
Items go on sale April 26 in shops around Hiroshima, the Carp official goods website, and other specialty shops.
