Netflix Announces Kabaneri Film Simulcast and Golden Week Picks

Battle of Unato mirrors its two-week run in theaters on streaming

Netflix Japan has announced that Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: The Battle of Unato will be coming to Netflix alongside its theatrical run.

The upcoming film, the second Kabaneri movie to come out following the compilation, takes place six months after the end of the television series. Netflix Japan will run it for two weeks starting May 10 — the same timeframe as its theatrical run. There has been no announcement concerning whether this airing will be mirrored outside Japan.

Netflix Japan has also released their Golden Week recommended viewing list, featuring anime series and films to enjoy during the upcoming long holiday. Ranking high were the US production Love, Death & Robots, along with Japanese series Rilakkuma and Kaoru-san, DEVILMAN crybaby, ULTRAMAN, Touch, KAGUYA-SAMA: LOVE IS WAR, and many others.
