Adaptation based on fantasy light novel series will broadcast in Japan beginning in July of 2019
A new cast addition and the Japanese broadcast period have been revealed for Isekai Cheat Magician, an upcoming TV anime based on the series of isekai fantasy light novels written by Takeru Uchida and illustrated by Nardack about a pair of high school students who develop phenomenal magical powers when they are accidentally transported to another world.
In Isekai Cheat Magician, Yurika Kubo plays Airy, a wind spirit that is higher in rank than even humans and dragons. Airy exists everywhere in the world, although ordinary people generally can't see her or hear her voice. When visible, Airy normally appears as a tiny fairy.
The story of Isekai Cheat Magician follows two ordinary high school students, Taichi Nishimura and Rin Azuma, who are transported to a parallel world of sword and sorcery after being enveloped by a mysterious light. Taichi and Rin soon realize that they both possess overwhelming magical power and physical abilities for some unknown reason, and so they begin their adventures as the world's strongest "Cheat Magicians".
Isekai Cheat Magician is directed by Daisuke Chikushi and features animation production by Encourage Films. The series will broadcast in Japan beginning in July of 2019.
