Three new cast members have been revealed for Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life, an ongoing TV anime based on the manga by Amyu about a struggling high school club dedicated to the koto, a traditional 13-stringed Japanese musical instrument. The new cast members include:
Ayane Sakura as Kazusa Ootori.
And Junta Terashima as Ousuke Kiryu.
Additionally, Chika Anzai was announced as the voice of Aki Hanamura (not pictured).
The original Kono Oto Tomare! manga is serialized in Shueisha's Jump Square manga magazine. The Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life TV anime is by Ryoma Mizuno and features animation production by Platinum Vision. The series is currently broadcasting in Japan and streaming on FunimationNow, who describe the story of Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds as follows:
Down to its last member, the koto club will accept anyone who is interested in the traditional Japanese instrument. But when a delinquent and a prodigy player sign up, finding harmony isn’t going to be easy—especially not with ensemble competitions looming around the corner. With enough time and some incredible skill at the strings, perhaps this motley crew can strike a chord with the judges.
