Upcoming adaptation based on smart phone RPG by Fuji&gumi Games hits theaters in Japan on June 14, 2019
A new poster (below) has been published for For Whom the Alchemist Exists (known in Japan as Tagatame no Alchemist), an upcoming theatrical anime film based on the tactical simulation RPG smart phone game published by Fuji&gumi Games.
The original Tagatame no Alchemist game is published for Android and iOS smart phones. The story is set in Babel, a magical continent situated beneath the looming Tower of Babel, and it follows the exploits of seven heroes from seven nations as they explore a world sealed by the "Forbidden Art" of alchemy. The film focuses on Kasumi, an ordinary high school girl who is summoned to the world of Babel from Earth in an effort to prevent the Sorcerers of Darkness from conquering the world.
For Whom the Alchemist Exists is directed by Shōji Kawamori and Masanori Takahashi and features animation production by Satelight. The film hits theaters in Japan on June 14, 2019.
