The NARUTO sequel has released eight tankobon volumes so far
It is officially announced in this year's 28th issue of Weekly Shonen Jump released today that BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS, the sequel to Masashi Kishimoto's internationally popular manga series NARUTO, will change its magazine from the current Weekly Shonen Jump to V Jump in July.
BORUTO is written by game designer/writer Ukyo Kodachi and illustrated by Mikio Ikemoto, a long-time assistant for the NARUTO manga's original author Kishimoto. Meanwhile, Kishimoto himself is attached to the sequel project as supervisor. Following the NARUTO manga that run for 15 years, BORUTO has been serialized monthly in Weekly Shonen Jump since May 2016, and has released eight tankobon volumes.
V Jump is Shueisha's monthly magazine that focuses on news about the latest games, and manga adaptations of popular games. By the the transfer to the magazine, BORUTO is expected to promote more multimedia projects. BORUTO's next chapter is scheduled to be published in V Jump's September 2019 issue to be released in Japan on July 20, 2019.
