Adaptation of isekai fantasy novel series hits Japanese TV on July 10, 2019
Two new cast members and a dramatic new trailer have been revealed of Isekai Cheat Magician, an upcoming TV anime based on the series of isekai fantasy light novels written by Takeru Uchida and illustrated by Nardack about a young man and a young woman who gain incredible martial and magical powers when they are transported to another world. The new cast members include:
Hiro Shimono as Kashim, a peasant farmer who manages a plantation on the outskirts of Aspire. Kashim requests help from the Adventurers Guild to stop the bandits who have been ransacking his farm, however...
And Yōko Hikasa as Grami, an elusive magician who appears unexpectedly. Grami loves to fight, but she prefers to kill through assassination and other subtle ways of taking an opponent's life.
The story of Isekai Cheat Magician follows two ordinary high school students, Taichi Nishimura and Rin Azuma, who are transported to a parallel world of sword and sorcery after being enveloped by a mysterious light. Taichi and Rin soon realize that they both possess overwhelming magical power and physical abilities for some unknown reason, and so they begin their adventures as the world's strongest "Cheat Magicians".
Isekai Cheat Magician is directed by Daisuke Chikushi and features animation production by Encourage Films. The series will broadcast in Japan on AT-X, Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, and Sun TV beginning on July 10, 2019, with additional broadcasts to follow later on TV Aichi and BS11.
