Yuta Tanaka (Go! Princess PreCure)-directed feature film will open in Japan on October 19, 2019
The official website for Eiga Star☆Twinkle PreCure Hoshi no Uta ni Omoi wo Komete (Star☆Twinkle PreCure The Movie: Putting Thought into the Star Song), the upcoming feature film based on the ongoing 16th PreCure TV series Star☆Twinkle PreCure, has started streaming an 80-second full trailer introducing its theme song "Twinkle Stars" sung by 38-year-old actress Rina Chinen. She also makes a guest voice appearance as an original character for the film, Marry Ann, who is called "Hoshizora Keiji" (Starry Skay Detective).
This is Chinen's second voice work in an anime feature film, following Tsubakurou in Doraemon: Nobita and the Winged Braves (2011). She says, "I was surprised but also very glad when it was decided to make a voice appearance in the PreCure film and to perform its theme song. I want to steadily play the character, who is careless and charming. The theme song I sing is a "song" born in the film, and it has a very important meaning. I am so excited about how I can perform the special song."
The PrerCure franchise's 27th feature film directed by Yuta Tanaka (the 12th series Go! Princess PreCure series director) will open in Japan on October 19, 2019.
Its story follows an encounter between the PreCure girls and an original character for the film, UMA. Cure Star and Cure Milky learn the mysterious creature can't speak but reacts to "songs." They start deepening ties with Yuuma through songs. However, the creature has been hunted by the "Alien Hunter" group.
