Collaboration features merch with new art by series artists
The Puella Magi are taking a break from fighting and contract-making to collab with curry restaurant chain CoCo Ichibanya, and the results are just adorable.
The event celebrates 700 days since the release of mobile game Magia Record in Japan. The title, which is just getting underway in other territories around the world, expands the Madoka Magica timeline yet again as magical girls travel to Kamihama City and awaken new powers.
Patrons of the chain who spend 800 yen or more in a visit can pick up one of five acrylic standees feature Madoka, Homura, Iroha, Yachiyo, and Alina. All of them get sweet new outfits topped off with a really cool Charlotte shirt:
If you're as in love with that shirt as we are, we have good news: you can get that, too! It's one of the prizes in CoCo's Magia Record lottery. Patrons can get the new shirt featuring Charlotte (drawn by Doroinu of Gekidan Inu Curry), gift certificates, a Lil' Kyubey cushion, and more.
The event will run from July 19 to August 31 at CoCo Ichibanya locations across Japan.
