ED Theme Song Performer Arms Up for Assassins Pride TV Anime

Adaptation based on fantasy light novel series hits Japanese TV in October of 2019

Angel Melida, the heroine of Assassins Pride, struggles desperately despite not being gifted with magical powers.

The ending theme song performer has been revealed for Assassins Pride, an upcoming TV anime based on the series of fantasy light novels written by Kei Amagi and illustrated by Nino Ninomoto about a young woman from a family of aristocrats who is tasked with protecting the people from monsters despite not being gifted with the magical powers of her predecessors.

The ending theme, entitled "Ijin-tachi no Jikan" ("The Time of Foreigners"), is performed in-character by Melida Angel (CV: Tomonori Kusunoki). The song features lyrics by Natsumi Tadano and composition and arrangement by Kuniyuki Takahashi (MONACA).

The original Assassins Pride novels are published in Japan by Fujimi Shobo (a division of Kadokawa) under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. The story is set in a world where families of nobles are responsible for defending humanity from monsters using an inherited power called "Mana." Melida Angel is a young aristocrat who attends an academy to train for this role, but she is unable to use "Mana". To discover her true talent, a young man named Kufa Vampir is dispatched to serve as her tutor, but Kufa also has secretly been assigned to assassinate Melida if her talents don't manifest...

Melida Angel, the heroine of Assassins Pride, wields a cavalry saber with a teddy bear charm affixed to the hand guard.

Assassins Pride is directed by Kazuya Aiura and features animation production by EMT Squared. The series will broadcast in Japan on Tokyo MX, BS Nippon TV, and AT-X beginning in October of 2019.
