Advance tickets for all 26 shows have been already sold out

 

The highly-anticipated stage play adaptation of Yoshihiro Togashi's action fantasy shonen manga in the 1990s, Yu Yu Hakusho, finally started its run in Tokyo yesterday on August 28. Before its opening, the final dress rehearsal was revealed to Japanese media, and their video reports have been available on the web.

 

The play starring 29-year-old Tsubasa Sakiyama (Ishikirimaru in the Touken Ranbu musical series) as the protagonist Yusuke Urameshi is written/directed by 38-year-old Chuji Mikasano, the series composition writer for the Tokyo Ghoul TV anime (2014) and the director of the Touken Ranbu musical series (2015-2018). It is set to be performed in Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Aichi from August 28 to September 22, and the advance tickets for all 26 shows have been already sold out.
