New key visual and Japanese broadcast details revealed for upcoming original sports anime
Game, set, match! A new key visual and the Japanese TV schedule have been revealed for Hoshiai no Sora ("The Starlit Sky"), an upcoming original TV anime about a group of boys learning about themselves through the practice of doubles tennis in faltering high school sports club.
Described as a "true-to-life youth story", Hoshiai no Sora follows a group of high school boys who play doubles tennis in a high school soft tennis club that is in the verge of shutting down. The show explores their thoughts and feelings through the sport.
Hoshiai no Sora is directed by Kazuki Akane (The Vision of Escaflowne) and features animation production by 8-bit. will broadcast in Japan according to the following TV schedule:
- Tokyo Broadcasting System: every Thursday during the 25:58 time slot beginning on October 10, 2019.
- Mainichi Broadcasting Sytem: every Saturday during the 26:30 time slot beginning on October 12, 2019.
Please note that some Japanese TV schedules count early-morning programming as late-night programming of the previous day, so for example the 25:58 time slot on Thursday evening is actually on Friday morning at 1:58am JST.
