Japanese TV schedule revealed for adaptation of humorous fantasy MMORPG light novel series

Five new cast members and the Japanese broadcast schedule have been revealed for Itai no wa Iya nanode Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu. (known in English as "All points are divided to VIT because a painful one isn't liked."), an upcoming TV anime based on the series of humorous light novels written by Yuumikan and illustrated by Koin about a girl who spends all of her skill points on defense in a fantasy virtual reality MMO.

 

The new cast members include:

The story of Itai no wa Iya nanode Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu. is set in the world of a virtual reality MMO called "NewWorld Online." The protagonist, Maple (real name: Kaede Honjou), is a newbie when it comes to games, so she allocates all of her ability points into defense power (VIT). As a result, Maple is ponderously slow, she can't use magic, and she can be kicked around even by rabbits, but she feels no pain and takes zero damage. Because of her intense focus on VIT, Maple acquires the "Absolute Defense" skill and overcomes all obstacles with her "Lethal Poison" skill, and so she goes on fun, stress-free adventures with her friends as a "Mobile Fortress-type Rookie".

The original Itai no wa Iya nanode Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu. light novels are published in Japan by Kadokawa under their Kadokawa Books imprint. The Itai no wa Iya nanode Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu. TV anime is directed by Shin Onuma and Mirai Minato and features animation production by SILVER LINK.. The series will broadcast in Japan according to the following TV schedule:

 

  • AT-X: every Wednesday during the 22:00 time slot beginning on January 08, 2020, with repeat broadcasts on Sunday at 23:00, Friday at 14:00, and Tuesday at 6:00.
  • Asahi Broadcasting Corporation: every Wednesday during the 26:11 time slot beginning on January 08, 2020.
  • Tokyo MX: every Wednesday during the 25:35 time slot beginning on January 08, 2020.
  • TV Aichi: every Wednesday during the 26:05 time slot beginning on January 08, 2020.
  • BS11: every Friday during the 25:00 time slot beginning on January 10, 2020.

Itai no wa Iya nanode Bougyoryoku ni Kyokufuri Shitai to Omoimasu. will also be distributed digitally in Japan on dAnime Store and Amazon Prime Video with new episodes published on Wednesdays during the 22:30 time slot beginning on January 08, 2020.

 

Please note that some Japanese TV schedules count early-morning programming as late-night programming of the previous day, so for example the 25:35 time slot on Wednesday evening is actually on Thursday morning at 1:35am JST.
