Launch Time: Q3 2021

Territories: North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS

Second Season Synopsis:

The wacky Dragon Maid is back again!

A strange turn of events leads the Dragon, Tohru, to work as Miss Kobayashi's maid.

She occasionally (that's a lie, she often) causes trouble for her beloved Miss Kobayashi while blending into human society and splendidly (that's a lie, only mediocrely) carrying out her maid duties.

Her fellow dragons, Kanna, Lucoa, Fafnir, and Elma all find their own places to fit in as well and enjoy interspecies interactions with the humans.

Yet while they're all enjoying that laid-back and occasionally turbulent left, the threat of a new Dragon swoops down upon Miss Kobayashi.

Taking over for the late Yasuhiro Takemoto is Sound! Euphonium director Tatsuya Ishihara as the director of the second season of Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, while Takemoto has been posthumously promoted to series director. Shoko Ochiai is taking over the role of art director from the late Mikiko Watanabe, who also passed away in the Kyoto Animation arson attack.

Yuka Yamada returns as the series composer, Miku Kadowaki returns as the character designer, Nobuaki Maruki returns as the chief animation director, Yota Tsuruoka returns on sound direction, Joji Unoguchi returns as a 3D artist, Norihiro Tomiita returns as the 3D director, and Masumi Ito is handling the music at LANTIS. Also new to the staff is Hiroki Ueda as the cinematographer and Azumi Hata on color design, both Kyoto Animation regulars.

Crunchyroll streamed the first season as it aired and describes it like so:

Miss Kobayashi is your average office worker who lives a boring life, alone in her small apartment–until she saves the life of a female dragon in distress. The dragon, named Tohru, has the ability to magically transform into an adorable human girl (albeit with horns and a long tail!), who will do anything to pay off her debt of gratitude, whether Miss Kobayashi likes it or not. With a very persistent and amorous dragon as a roommate, nothing comes easy, and Miss Kobayashi’s normal life is about to go off the deep end!
