New Black Rock Shooter DAWN FALL Anime Project Started

Creator huke releases visual for the project commencement

While details are scarce at this time, a new Black Rock Shooter TV anime project was announced today with original creator huke releasing a new visual for the commencement of the project as well as a comment on his surprise that a new anime will be made on a character he made years ago has started.

The TV anime, which comes under the title Black ★★ Rock Shooter DAWN FALL, will be the first anime project for the character in nearly a decade. Black Rock Shooter started as an original drawing by huke which then inspired a song by Supercell which featured the voice of Hatsune Miku. A 50-minute OVA was released based on the character in 2009, with a full TV anime broadcast in 2012 in the NoitaminA anime block. The original series only had one star in its name, whilst DAWN FALL has two.

Huke commented on the announcement, saying:

"A new Black ★ Rock Shooter anime...? Insane!? When huke first heard about the project, like many other fans, I was also very surprised by the news. I hope you can look forward to seeing where Black★Rock Shooter, which started with a single illustration, will eventually end up."
