KADOKAWA's official anime YouTube channel has started streaming a full music video for anisong singer Konomi Suzuki's 22nd single song "Inochi no Tomoshibi" (The Light of Life), which is now featured as the OP theme for the fall 2021 TV anime Deep Insanity: The Lost Child.
As with the music video for her previous 21st single song "Missing Promise" (Higurashi: When They Cry -SOTSU ED theme), this clip was directed by Ryoji Aoki, known for his MV works for LiSA, GRANRODEO, Sphere, TRUE, ZAQ, and many other anisong artists.
Set in the same decadent atmosphere of Asylum as in the anime, the video depicts the burnt out and charred afterimages of life, and also embodies Suzuki's powerful vocals as she burns her life away to sing for something that cannot be compromised. She writes on Twitter, "May I live in a fiery way."
The CD single of "Inochi no Tomoshibi" will be released in Japan on November 5, 2021.
