  • Too simple, A wasted opportunity.
This series had a lot of potential. But it failed in many ways.

The production seemed cheap compared to others. And because it was in space there was no background to worry about it was just empty black space. There should have been more adventure and exploration.

I understand the title "Miniskirt Pirates" but why the miniskirt from her academy. It would be better if she let her friend ...

  • Slow starts keep going it gets better
The beginning is very slow and the plot take couple of episode to really get interesting.

    The character are likeable.

I really enjoyed to watch it, I watched it over two days), however the end is bittersweet and it definitely needs a second season.

I have also this weird feeling it's a kind of story that follow post Captain Harlock.

This is a really good anime about space and ...

At best it's a spot of space entertainment with an honest attempt at character development, but this is stretched quite thinly over its 26 episodes.
Given that it's based on a light novel series, I can somewhat understand this, but the fact remains that it felt like the adventure had just truly started by the time it was over, which made it an unfortunately bittersweet experience. The characters were all likeable (even if I didn't care much for the pile of high school yacht club girls among them) with Marika and Chiaki emerging as endearing ...

  • A great little Series
I wasn't sure just what to expect going into this but I'm glad I gave it the chance. I found this to be a well rounded series with a few nice plot twists, cleaver ideas and nice balance between drama and comedy. If your looking for an ecchi series this aint it, with fan-service kept to a minimum but if you give it a try I think you'll be pleasantly surprised .

Give it a go, and see where the stars take you.
Not a first choice for anime, however after watching it, it is a shame it ended. AI loved the development of all the characters in the way they developed separately and together. I can see many an OVA coming from this series for the side stories.

The movement of the boats, the creaking of the Hulls, fabulous. Give it a go, Meet Marika and the crew.

    Start from episode 8
The first "arc", if you could really call it that, doesn't really begin until about episode 3, and even then it's mostly talk and little action. There is very little character development early on apart from our heroine, Marika. The plot is confusing anyway even with the decent translation so chances are you'll just have to accept the writer's logic.

From episode 8 onwards there is plenty of ...
