Definitely not a better love story than twilight
Before I review this anime I'd just like to say I am not usually a complainer and I can handle grotesque and ecchi themes, including dark humour etc.

The story revolves around a Christian girl name Yui, she is dropped off mysteriously outside of a large mansion which she eventually enters, it is basically a mystery to why she is there/why her father sent her there. We get a basic and I mean ...

    Ugh I despise weak heroines
If you like the type of anime with no plot going for it except that it's filled with bishounen men who prey on an annoying blonde, this is the anime for you.

The anime is about a "kind & gentle" (weak) girl who was sent to a vampire household cause her father had to move overseas cause of his priest job (basically abandoned her). I watched this because I was bored. I had a mind to stop myself ...

SOON LOVED AYATO STRAIGHT AWAY FROM EP1
First of all, i love this series so much! I guess that makes me a huge M!
I have to say that this is even better than Amnesia.. I love Amnesia don't get me wrong but it was so boring and too lovey-dovey -_- people will hate me for saying this but i was kind of hoping Toma would do something to Heroine.. I never came across any sadistic, perverted animes before so this was an instant like! And i ...

    A Marmite Reverse-Harem
Diabolik Lovers has very much turned into a Marmite anime - in the sense that you either love it or hate it. I did not know what to think when I stumbled upon the anime, expecting something along the lines of other reverse-harem animes such as Uta no Prince Sama or Ouran High School Host Club. If that is the kind of anime you enjoy, this is possibly not for you.

Diabolik Lovers is, in essence, ...

More to Yui than you think.
I'm not entirely sure why I continued to watch Diabolik Lovers... but I did, and I enjoyed it.
It is true that there wasn't much of a plot until the last few episodes of the series, and even then the plot felt rushed, the ending vague. Also very little character development.
    However!
There have been many complaints of Yui (protagonist) having 'no backbone' or being 'weak', if you ...

Dating Sim Cut Scenes The Anime!
Well... The animation was nice, and at least the series got that they're killers and not misunderstood butterflies who just need love. Other than that, it's pretty pointless. If the series wasn't 10 minutes an episode, I wouldn't of watched the whole thing. So a point for knowing the right running time for this show.

Yui, a girl, is sent to live with, who she thinks is, distant relatives. Turns ...

    Terrible terrible terrible
I watched it from time to time when it came up on the feed, I would watch an episode and basically every episode is like this.

    Vampire: You're mine!
Girl: Ohh no!! *moans moans moans*
Vampire: *Sucks her nape so dry*
Girl: *Passes out and or run away into another vampire to suck her*

Watchable. Not fantastic, but not awful.
(TL:DR; Nice art, cliche characters (not a bad thing), protagonist makes me want to put pins in my armpits (this is a bad thing), but perfectly watchable if you can stand characters taking advantage of the protag.)

When visual novels are made into anime series, the result is usually awful (There are exceptions; I quite liked Phantom: Requiem for a Phantom). However, Diabolik ...

Not as good as the game itself
As someone who has played both the game and watched the anime, I can see a lot of similarities from the brothers stories from which they have included, and it was fun making the comparisons. The art on either is nice and kinda gives off a certain vibe.

Story-wise I think it could do with some work. There doesn't really seem to be a plot until you get quite into the show, and more or less makes ...
