  • A liked (some of?) it
    3.7/5 stars

I'm not really a fan of this franchise, as you can probably tell. I wanted to give it a go, though, because I heard it was good from multiple sources. I watched the original Fate/stay night first and enjoyed it enough to give this one a go.
I liked some bits of it. The animation is nice, the story consistently surprised me and I even got attached to some of the ...

  • The First of the Fates
Outside of watching Today's Menu for the Emiya Family, this was my first Fate that I watched. Many of the characters I adored and enjoyed this series.

For the most part, some of the characters I wanted to hate I couldn't because I enjoyed their story so much.

Visually awesome, Mind entrancing, Tear jerking.
    Quick sum up:

Visually stunning: Undoubtedly of of the best looking anime. Actions scenes leave you drooling and character designs are meticulously gorgeous.

Characters: Full flushed out characters with understandable motives and insecurities. Some present characters have extensively interesting backstories that could be separate stories; while the past summoned heroes have their legends and ...

    Unoriginal Characters
WARNING: This is more of a rant than a review. Read at your own risk,

Maybe I've just watched too much anime (which, compared to a great many people, I haven't) but I am sick to the hind teeth of anime/manga characters. They are so predictable, redundant, unoriginal and boring! Some are worse than others, a few are good enough on a base level, but the more "fleshed out" they become the more you ...

  • Way better than the 2006 one!
This season of the Fate series is way better than the Fate/Stay Night 2006 version. by far!
I first watched that one and was disappointed with it, so decided not to watch anymore. However, my friend persuaded me to watch this one at least because it was apparently so good, and he wasn't lying.

God Tier, as Expected of Kinoko Nasu and Gen Urobuchi
I adore Kinoko Nasu as a writer. His work on Kara no Kyoukai, Fate/Stay Night (NOT THE HORRIBLE TV SERIES/MOVIE, THE VISUAL NOVEL), and to a somewhat lesser extent (I couldn't really get into it) Tsukihime (THE VISUAL NOVEL), were amazing. His world building skills are phenomenal, just truly. He also writes females amazingly, writing them as people, as true individuals in their own ...

so if u are some battle/romance addicted fanboy/fangirl geek, then u'd better close this because this is not some show for teens, this is a freaken anime version of game of thrones

    boring compared to the original
It looks alot better than the original but almost fell asleep listening to the dialogue. Most of it was just mindless babble the original was alot better with no idle dialogue and better story. The story was good at some parts and the fighting was alot better but had plenty of idle moments that did not feel like part of the story.

Well it is definitely way better than Fate/stay night
Fate/zero is the prequel to the visual novel Fate/stay night. There was a Fate/stay night anime but that was kinda bad. This anime is somehow 100x better than stay night. This being animated by ufotable provides some of the best animations in anime for a while. It is highly recommended that you are aware of Fate/stay night plot before watching this.

    Pros:
    . Amazing animation
    . ...
