    Welcome Back Kitaro!
Shigeru Mizuki's yokai hero is back, hooray!

A wonderful update to the long running series, this is a wonderful new adaptation. It aptly captures the fun, spooky tone of the manga with a nice modern gloss. This is why I've returned to Crunchyroll, keep it coming!

  • GeGeGe no Kitaro is great!
Only seen 3 episodes so far, but this anime is really interesting! The nature of the showw works so well in this time. I love all the main characters because they all have such amazing characteristics and personalities. The youkai shown so far have interesting backgrounds and are great!

  • Kitaro meets the modern era perfectly.
A fantastic return for Kitaro, bringing a beloved charter into the modern era. The show may look childish but with some serious plots and yokai that don't hold back be prepared for some dark tales. If you are a old Kitaro fan or just discovering the character watch this show.

  • good idea but not going anywhere
For a child, I can see this show being one of the best on TV. As an adult, however, the episodes are usually enjoyable but can be a bit hit or miss. However, the show isn't afraid to delve into much darker themes which have produced some great episodes that I would see myself going back and re-watching.

I never grew up with Gegege no Kitarou so the entire idea of yokai was new to me. Though, ...
