    Outstanding Art, Music & Themes
Set in a story-world similar to 1940's Europe we follow the story of Fine, Arch Duchess to the small European principality of Eylstadt as she evades capture at the hands of the forces of Germania.

During her struggle Fine reconnects with a memory from her past - A white witch named Izetta, the last of her kind. Izetta was Fines secret childhood friend and owes Fine her allegiance. For her love ...

  • Valkyria Chronicles plus Yuri
Izetta is a lovely story of the unlikely friendship between two powerful girls in a world at war. Izetta is sweet, humble young witch and comes off a bit Mary Sue but the show still managed to be worth watching anyway. It was certainly an interesting take on witches and world wars.

  • Rather Silly but enjoyable
The concept alone kind of sold me it, despite how silly it is. A witch rides an anti tank rifle in the second world war and as the promo art suggests, clearly is head-over-heels for a certain Archduchess.

To be blunt, The yuri is laid heavily on in the show, if you dislike Yuri or Yuri simply isn't to your tastes, i'd advise you look elsewhere. However if the concept alone interests you, I ...

  • Witches and Wartime, what's not to love?
Creating a world of magic takes some finesse - after all, there have to be rules established, conditions for using magic, etc. And Izetta handles that quite well, establishing and integrating witches into the setting. Now, if the setting is a direct shout out to World War II, then there has to be a delicate balance so that it doesn't become too busy, and again, Izetta exceeded my ...

  • Patriot Gains I Love
    SPOILER WARNING TO EPISODE 3!
    .
Reviewing as of episode 3; this show is simply glorious thusfar; I'm hoping it stays this good, or gets even better.
    .
Episode 1 was a little dodgy at the outset--effectively ripping off the train jumping scene from Canaan, James Bond, etc--but it quickly recovered, and certainly got me invested with the premise and setting.
And my god if Lichtenstein hasn't ...

  • izetta the last witch - it's top
    One word - GRIPPING!

...more than one word...it's got a really good story...the characters are spot on...the animation is wonderful and it sounds real nice.

It reminds me a bit of Valkyrie chronicles for some reason which isn't a bad thing...but aye - i think you will enjoy it

what started well took a wrong path
the first couple of episodes were great however it took a wrong path and each episode became worst and worst.

The ending is totally bad. The fight scene are terrible.
some of the names are not really. Too close or not well picked from the reality.

    definitely not worth it.
