Ecchi it is but question is if it's worth putting-up with the Ecchi
Before I begin the review proper, I must comment that this show seems to be compared to Usagi-drop a lot in the comments. I have not watched or read Usagi-drop and all I know about it is what I looked-up on Wikipedia. So in this review, I will not be comparing Listen To Me Girls I'M Your Father to Usagi-drop in any shape or form.

After watching Episode 1 of Listen To Me Girls I'M Your Father, I ...

    Responsibility is the key word
    Final Rating: 3.8/5.0

I was very sceptical when I read the synopsis of this show. Half of my scepticism was right but I thought this anime was pretty decent. It had a flawed yet noble premise, the main characters are fun and even if it has ecchi moments, there were less than I thought. It addresses issues of responsibility and the obstacles and consequences it gives quite well though it has ...

  • If you can move past the ecchi, then it is really good
I stumbled across Listen to Me, Girls, I'm Your Father while looking for an anime to watch from the Winter 2012 season, and after watching the first episode, and noticing the frankly unneccessary ecchi, i found that this is a very enjoyable series :)

The character interaction is great, mainly between the girls and the uncle, to be honest you don't see much of the other characters.

    The ...

  • Good, can get a bit stale sometimes though
I remember when i started watching Listen to me Girls, I'm Your Father, and i have to say, i didn't think much of it, i was very tempted to drop it after the first episode, but i thought that i would give it a 2nd chance, so i watched the 2nd episode, after that i thought it was worth watching to see how everything panned out, the main male character's story is interesting enough, but sometimes, ...

    Spoiler-free review: Frankenstein's moe
Stories are born from the combination of ideas. Some of the most memorable stories arise from unlikely combinations. Like cooking, the key to success lies in how the ingredients are mixed together, and which flavours are allowed to bubble to the surface.

Listen to me, Girls, I'm your Father is built on a concept that drips with dramatic potential. Yuuta is a 20-year-old college student. ...

  • my review on this anime
i just finished watching this anime and I've also read everyone's else`s reviews and i agree that when you watch the first episode your first reaction is great a pervy, fan service anime about kids. But after you watch a few episodes you kinda start to get into it, and start rooting for yuuta and his nieces but one thing i disliked in this anime was the fact that it ended so.... bitterly and I ...

  • Can't quite bring myself to finish it
I made it through about half of the episodes. I like the premise and the main character is actually a good guy BUT I just couldn't sit and watch anymore of the ecchi/sexy stuff with all these really young girls. The middle one is like 9 or 10 and it's constant panty shots and cleavage and short skirts.

It sounds like there's a fairly good story underneath but I couldn't do it anymore. Enough ...

  • Take it at face value, it's good!
Now, some people will outright say this is an amazing anime to watch...and I won't disagree.
It develops its characters amazingly well, deals with each little disaster appropriately and doesn't go down the road of "oh, we can make this perverted!"

With that said, I did find the way they didn't keep attention fixated on any singular character good. It allowed a variety and in depth glance of ...

  • Happy, Sad, and Disturbing
It's hard to put your finger on this series. Is it meant to be a to be a touching drama about the sudden responsibility of parenthood? [a la Usagi Drops] Is it meant to be a 'will they, won't they' rom-com? [say Love Hina] Or is this a bizarre episode of 'To Catch A Predator Anime Edition?' [like Kodomo no Jikan] It's hard to say, but I think that's part of the charm.

So the plot, three sisters ...

  • Only premise is awesome
I've watched this show many years ago. However, I can remember what this anime is about and the general feel and ideas that plot develops: how orphan girls can lead with their struggle. It's nice to see that there are stories showing that it's a interesting and important theme. But this show forget about it. It's still fun to watch, but fails in slice of life/ecchi/harem clichés that disturbs in a ...
