The late Yoshiji Kigami's Baja's Studio - Baja and the Sea - OVA has finally surfed its way onto NHK World with English subtitles. The 28 minute Kyoto Animation short follows the mascot of the studio as he wanted to learn about the sea. Surfs up after the jump!

Today, Kyoto Animation released their anime short, Baja’s Studio, on their YouTube channel for free, joining a long list of companies releasing content for free in this trying time for Japan. The short can be viewed worldwide but doesn’t have subtitles – not that you need them to enjoy the cuteness of Baja. You can see Baja's sweet face after the jump!
After the terrible year Kyoto Animation went through, the anime studio posted their yearly New Year's greeting on their Japanese and English websites thanking fans for "everything" from the "last year," featuring an image of Baja and Ga-chan from Baja's Studio. See the image after the jump.
After Baja’s Studio, an OVA based on the mascot character of Kyoto Animation was run on NHK during the second day of the memorial service for the animation studio, it was announced on December 16 that the OVA would be re-run in Japan just after the new year, on NHK’s secondary educational channel, NHK-E, behind the international broadcast on NHK World Japan.
