Nippon Foundation and Cosplay Umigomi Zero Executive Committee have launched a new campaign to spread recognition of the ocean waste (umigomi) problem. They held its first public event "Cosplay de Umigomi Zero Great Mission!" at and around Tokyo Tower on June 8, 2019, with about 430 cosplyers.
