    15 meter tall statue of robot hero of classic Mitsuteru Yokoyama manga was erected in 2009

    On November 06, 2016, Wakamatsu Park in Nagata Ward, Kobe City, Japan, revealed an extensive restoration to a popular local attraction: a 15 meter tall statue of Tetsujin-28 (known as "Gigantor" in English) that celebrates the hero of the classic 1956 - 1966 manga by Mitsuteru Yokoyama.
