After it being announced through the Government Gazette last month, Kyoto Animation confirmed today on the anime studio's website that they will be merging the operations and rights of Animation Do into Kyoto Animation on November 1. More details after the jump!
During a live stream premiere for the 2nd anniversary of Kyoto Animation archery franchise Tsurune, it was announced that a theatrical version of the series has been decided, with director Takuya Yamamura returning for the anime film. In its fourth weekend, Kyoto Animation's Violet Evergarden The Movie still holds the same third-place position as last weekend. The 140-minute film has earned 1,283,803,400 yen on 898,663 admissions in 24 days since its release of September 18. The English based publisher confirmed that The Intuition of Haruhi Suzumiya will get its physical release in June 2021, with a hardcover version based on the Japan cover in the same style as Yen Press' older Haruhi Suzumiya light novels.
