Legendary tokusatsu writer, Shozo Uehara, passed away on January 2 at the age of 82 due to complications surrounding his liver cancer, reported the Japanese media on January 9. Uehara was well known as one of the lead writers on the Ultraman series, and having his pen on the creation of the Super Sentai franchise at Toei Productions.
