As Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba THE MOVIE Mugen Train creeps closer and closer to the all-time number one spot on the Japanese box office chart, the current holder, Studio Ghibli's Spirited Away, moved the goalpost today, with distributor Toho adding 880 million yen (US$8.45 million) to the films previous lifetime gross. Japan implemented a new law to curb the use of single-use plastic bags on the first of July. Because of this, eco-friendly reusable bags became popular in Japan. Animation studio Studio Ghibi has jumped in on the craze by selling some adorable bags in their own stores featuring Boh from Spirited Away and Teto from Laputa: Castle in the Sky. The official website for Studio Ghibli announced today that four selected anime films will be screened in Toho's 372 theaters across Japan from June 26. The lineup are Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind (1984/Hayao Miyazaki), Princess Mononoke (1997/Hayao Miyazaki), Spirited Away (2001/Hayao Miyazaki), and Tales from Earthsea (2006/Goro Miyazaki).
