When Transformers: Devastation was first announced as a Platinum Games-developed brawler it immediately turned heads. Though the first few trailers got the cel-shaded G1 style across nicely, it wasn't until the latest that I was really sold. Transformers: Devastation was revealed in a teaser during E3, and we've been dying to see more of Activision's collaboration with developer Platinum Games ever since. San Diego Comic-Con delivered with a new gameplay trailer that shows a bunch of classic Transformers characters duking it out in the city, with action that definitely looks certified Platinum. Following an early reveal, Transformers: Devastation has officially been announced, and Platinum Games is indeed handling the cel-shaded brawler. Info on a new Transformers game has leaked in advance of this coming week's E3 show, and according to a since-removed Best Buy Canada listing it's being developed by none other than Platinum Games. The folks behind games like Bayonetta, Vanquish, and Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance previously worked with Activision on The Legend of Korra, and we should know more concrete info when the official reveal arrives on Monday.
