Not your usual military loli anime
Yet another tsundere loli in a military state that seems suspiciously similar to Nazi Germany? No, no, it's a lot more complex than that! Don't let Tanya's appearance or the fact that the characters use magic dissuade you.

*This review was written after episode 2, so I'll keep updating. Spoiler free*

The first two chapters are very interesting story wise, because they toy with the ...

Interesting show that's worth a watch
I'm a newcomer to the apparent genre of "World War 1 or 2 with Magic" of anime, and I must say, this series is definitely interesting. The main protagonist, Tanya Degurechaff is a unique character that resembles none of which I've seen before, and I'll be certain to continue watching.

My only gripe is that a lot of the episodes feel far apart, almost as if we've missed some story in between ...

    Surprisingly good English dub
I usually prefer dub over sub because I'm usually watching stuff on my second monitor while doing other stuff on my first. I can follow dubbed shows much more easily because it means I can look away and still understand what is being said. For a show where the protagonist is a child, it does a surprisingly good job at not being a cringey mess.

As for the show itself, I find it difficult to ...

    Why this show is believable
A very interesting story line that roughly mixes the events of world wars one and two. With magic Tanya being the person that can change the course of human events by divine (or possibly Diabolical) intervention. However, the war is far far too big for even her to change the inevitable outcomes that involves millions of people and the logic of empires.

However, the show is well ...

    best anime of spring 2017
    Where to start.

Fabulous show. I loved it from the beginning. Can't wait for the second season.
    Good drawing/animation.
The Char development and background is good. Couple of twist also.

I love also that it's kind of based on the WW.

    Good sound track.

    Defo worth it to watch!

    Best Military Anime I've Seen
I find that a lot of military inspired series lack a good story because they focus too much on the violent side of things, "The Saga of Tanya the Evil" is an anime which can pull off a perfect balance between story, strategy, and combat. The story is unique and it's hard to predict what's going to happen next so you end up so immersed in the anime. This is definitely the perfect anime for people ...

So far so good. I'm intrigued.
I was actually just feeling for a WW2 based anime or tv show, and this pops up.

Let's just say that I'm very much intrigued with the development so far. Tanya is NOT your typical loli tsundere niche. Her lines are very much written as if they were meant for a completely different character (that being the REAL Tanya).

In a way this anime reminds me a lot of Hannibal, with a seemingly decent, ...

  • great anime, great loli, great father land
story simplified: man fires another man because other man no does work, other man angry and push man in front of a train.

opinions: pretty good anime a unique isekai, and the story is pretty solid

flaw: why is there a panther tank during the 1920s? I know there's magic and everything but that doesn't explain the panthers as they were initially made in the 1940s. However, that doesn't ...

  • Good light novel adaptation IMHO
I thought this would be nothing but edgy crap, but it's quite good. Man gets reincarnated as a female magic user in an alternative world plagued by its first world war.
Where in other isekai anime the day is saved, when the protagonist uses that one clever thing from their past lives; here it's where the story starts.
The characters don't get much development, so it's mainly a story driven ...
