Not your usual military loli anime
Yet another tsundere loli in a military state that seems suspiciously similar to Nazi Germany? No, no, it's a lot more complex than that! Don't let Tanya's appearance or the fact that the characters use magic dissuade you.

*This review was written after episode 2, so I'll keep updating. Spoiler free*

The first two chapters are very interesting story wise, because they toy with the ...

So far so good. I'm intrigued.
I was actually just feeling for a WW2 based anime or tv show, and this pops up.

Let's just say that I'm very much intrigued with the development so far. Tanya is NOT your typical loli tsundere niche. Her lines are very much written as if they were meant for a completely different character (that being the REAL Tanya).

In a way this anime reminds me a lot of Hannibal, with a seemingly decent, ...

  • Really unique, Fun, smart and funny
Really Unique and Fun concept that is executed wonderfully and well paced. With the first episode showcasing its action and style -an appitizer- while the second episode is where it really starts. really good. It's understandable that the art style is jarring but it fits really well with the show and it is very expressive and well, I highly recommend it.

  • A delightful surprise
Despite the show having a sorta weird art style in the animation for some of the characters, and no hype that I'm aware of, so far this has been a really pleasant surprise. A rather unique and refreshing main character, the special effects and art is pretty well done overall, besides two some what strange looking characters that I can forgive. I hear some people say that the show is cheaply made ...

  • Already on list of favorite anime.
I absolutely love military anime and this one is such a fresh concept. Wonderful character. Really looking forward to the rest of the season. I like that this show doesn't shy away from showing some gore. I've seen too many military anime where you never really see anyone die.

If you like OP you will love this one
Personally I find this anime one of the most exciting this year. If you have a thing for overpowered characters then this anime is for you. Beautiful animation, evil main character, juicy fight scenes ... basically brutality at its finest.

If you enjoy Dragon Ball Super, Drifters, GATE, Beelzebub, Terraformars or any other anime with great action and beyond powerful main characters ... you ...

Interesting show that's worth a watch
I'm a newcomer to the apparent genre of "World War 1 or 2 with Magic" of anime, and I must say, this series is definitely interesting. The main protagonist, Tanya Degurechaff is a unique character that resembles none of which I've seen before, and I'll be certain to continue watching.

My only gripe is that a lot of the episodes feel far apart, almost as if we've missed some story in between ...

  • Awesome and more awesome!
So after finishing this series I can happily say that you should go and watch it! From episode 1, explaining Tanya's dark story to her moving up in the ranks and finally her going insane at some points, it just seemed to get better by every episode. The voice actor who portraits Tanya (Yuuki, Aoi) dose an excellent performance of making Tanya so evil but cute at the same time. When the ending came ...

    Best Military Anime I've Seen
I find that a lot of military inspired series lack a good story because they focus too much on the violent side of things, "The Saga of Tanya the Evil" is an anime which can pull off a perfect balance between story, strategy, and combat. The story is unique and it's hard to predict what's going to happen next so you end up so immersed in the anime. This is definitely the perfect anime for people ...

    best anime of spring 2017
    Where to start.

Fabulous show. I loved it from the beginning. Can't wait for the second season.
    Good drawing/animation.
The Char development and background is good. Couple of twist also.

I love also that it's kind of based on the WW.

    Good sound track.

    Defo worth it to watch!
