    An outrageous distraction!
Seki-kun, watched by Yokoi-san, gets up to all kinds of elaborate things during class time, to entertain himself, but unknowingly drags in his neighbour into whatever it is too.
With really just two characters, no background story or plot, simplistic animation, it blew me away with the exquisite and creative humour and had me enthralled with it, just like Yokoi is whenever Seki sets something up ...

A great slice of life comedy.
I really enjoyed this! The episodes are very short at only 7 minutes which is both a pro and a con. Short and easy to fit into a schedule, but it almost ends too quickly. I am a big fan of 'over the top'-ish comedy in slice of life anime, so if you like to laugh rather than get invested in a plot then this is perfect. I would consider it a must watch and at least worth checking out!

  • Nice and easy bite-size anime
Relaxed, slice of life anime. Episodes are sweet and short, therefore easy to fit into schedule or binge watch. It's nothing heavy or complex and it may not be filled with "laugh out loud" but it did put a smile on my face after every episode.
Like a "merry-go-round" of the anime theme park if that makes sense.
Some of Rumi's monologue can be cringe-worthy but it doesn't get in the way of ...

Without thinking about it, I was drawn in...
Tonari no Seki-kun was recommended to me by a friend. When I watched the first few episodes, I didn't really like it. I sympathized with Yokoi a bit too much so Seki's antics were very irritating to me. However, the more I watched it, the more it grew on me. Like Yokoi, I was pulled into Seki-kun's games and found the stories funny.

Each episode is short which makes it easier to watch when ...

  • This is the best reminder of my childhood
This reminds me of all the not paying attention that I did when I was at school. I was a lot like Seki-kun. This anime always cheers me up when I'm having a bad day and is pretty good as a suggestion to get people to watch some more anime, especially since it is so short. 5 frikkin stars, really awesome! Sometimes the animation is a little off but everything else about it is so awesome that it ...

  • Guaranteed to kill your time in the best way
I legitimately never thought I could be so engrossed by the shenanigans of an idiot savant and his overly enthusiastic classmate. This is literally one of the best shows ever. Not only is it just the funniest but it doesn't waste your time with silly things like plot, or purpose, or more than two or three characters. That would be entirely unnecessary. What Seki-kun has is something so much ...

  • When you are bored on late nights
I'm not gonna lie, this anime was amazing.
    Too it's intro/outro and it's amazing jokes.
It's art style is also really good, it's simple but somehow looks really good.
If you are bored one night or whenever and just wanna have something too watch, I HIGHLY recommend this one!
