Live-Action Drama to Adapt Nisio Isin's "Okitegami Kyoko no Bobiroku"

Live-action Ranma's Yui Aragaki to play titular forgetful detective

Following the recent news that Monogatari author Nisio Isin's new Okitegami Kyoko no Bobiroku will be taking the adventures of Forgetful Detective Kyoko to manga with an adaptation from Yo Asami launching in Monthly Shonen Magazine's September issue, out August 6th, Kyoko Okitegami is now set to star in a live-action drama, scheduled to air on NTV in October. 


Yui Aragaki (live-action Ranma 1/2's Akane) stars as the titular detective who can only retain memories for one day. Toya Sato (Gokusen, Gambling Apocalypse Kaiji) directs with Akiko Nogi (Library Wars, My Love Story!!, I am a Hero) serving as screenwriter.



In  January, the characters from Monogatari helped introduce the new light novel seres Yui Horie narrated with Shaft animation directed by Madoka Magica'Miyamoto Yukihiro, with illustrations from Akio Watanabe and Hajime Ueda.
