TV anime adaptation also announced for light novel series written by Yutaka Kōno and illustrated by You Shiina
Sakurada Reset, a light novel series written by Yutaka Kōno and illustrated by You Shiina that follows a pair of teenagers with super human abilities, is being adapted into a 2-part live-action film and a TV anime, both of which are scheduled to be released in 2017.
The live-action film will be directed by Yoshihiro Fukugawa and will feature the following cast (from left to right and top to bottom):
- Yuina Kuroshima as Misora Haruki.
- Shuhei Nomura as Kei Asai.
- Yûna Taira as Sumire Soma.
- Kentarô Sakaguchi as Tomoki Nakano.
- Tina Tamashiro as Yoka Murase.
- And Yuri Tsunematsu as Eri Okay.
The original Sakurada Reset light novels were serialized in Kadokawa Shoten's The Sneaker magazine and published in collected form under Kadokawa Shoten's Sneaker Bunko imprint. The series is set in Sakurada, a town where many people possess superhuman abilities. Ken Asai has perfect memory, while Misora Haruki can reset time by 3 days. Together, they can travel back in time without losing their memories of the future.
The Sakurada Reset 2-part live-action film will be released in Japanese theaters in the Spring season of 2017.
