Shonen Jump-themed J-WORLD TOKYO Theme Park to be Closed as of February 17, 2019

"Grand Finale" campaign will be held from December 21, 2018, to the closing day

Bandai Namco Amusement announced today that the J-World Tokyo project including the indoor theme

park in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, will end its scheduled six-year operation as of February 17, 2019. The theme

park dedicated to the internationally popular Shonen Jump titles will be closed on the day.

J-World Tokyo was opened on the third floor of Sunshine City shopping complex in Ikebukuro on July 11,

2013, offering various virtual reality attractions and games inspired by the Shonen Jump manga/anime's

worlds and characters. Its currently featured titles are: Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, Naruto Shippden, Haikyu!!,

Gintama, Blue Exorcist, Kuroko's Basketball, KochiKame, The New Prince of Tennis, Toriko, Hunter x Hunter,

and Bleach.

As an expression of their appreciation to the visitors for six years, the park will hold the "Grand Finale" campaign

from December 21, 2018, to the closing day. During the period, the first 500 visitors on each day will get one of

the 59 newly-drawn character illustration stickers, which changes every day. More memorial events, such as free

cosplay experience, character greetings and voice actors' talk shows, are also planned.
