Works of art star in volume 1 of rom-com manga, soon to be in print
Who's the hottest new high school romance protagonist? Michelangelo's David, of course!... and yes, we mean the actual statue.
Adolescence Renaissance! David-kun is publishing its first collected volume after a run in Shonen Jump. The series by Sentou no Susume creator Yuushin Kuroki stars the legendary work of art as a high school student, trying to navigate student life and love life amongst fellow works of art.
Notably also in his school are Venus (based on Botticelli's Birth of Venus) and Mona Lisa herself.
Volume 1 is available now, with Volume 2 set to be released March 4.
