Kenjiro Tsuda to Voice Fire Force Anime's Mysterious Joker

No sample video this time for the latest cast addition

The Fire Force anime's official website went up with another cast addition, but this one's a little on the mysterious side. So mysterious, in fact, that it doesn't come with the usual sample audio, so you'll just have to imagine how Kenjiro Tsuda (Sadahara Inui in The Prince of Tennis, Seto Kaiba in Yu-Gi-Oh!) sounds in the adaptation of Atsushi Ohkubo's manga.

Tsuda will be playing Joker, a mysterious man who knows about protagonist Shinra Kusakabe's past.

Previous announcements include:

Kazuya Nakai as Akitaru Ōbi

Kenichi Suzumura as Takehisa Hinawa

Saeko Kamijou as Maki Oze

M.A.O. as Iris

Yusuke Kobayashi as Arthur Boyle

Gakuto Kajiwara as Shinra Kusakabe

Yuki Yase (Kubikiri Cycle) directs at David Production (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure) alongside character designer Hideyuki Morioka (Sayonara, Zetsubou-SenseiKizumonogatari).

Kodansha publishes the manga in English and describes it like so:

The city of Tokyo is plagued by a deadly phenomenon: spontaneous human combustion! Luckily, a special team is there to quench the inferno: The Fire Force! The fire soldiers at Special Fire Cathedral 8 are about to get a unique addition. Enter Shinra, a boy who possesses the power to run at the speed of a rocket, leaving behind the famous “devil’s footprints” (and destroying his shoes in the process). Can Shinra and his colleagues discover the source of this strange epidemic before the city burns to ashes?
