THE PROMISED NEVERLAND Anime Season 2 Gets New Key Visual, 4th Anniversary Plans Unveiled

First season aired in January 2019, currently available via HBO Max

The official site for THE PROMISED NEVERLAND anime adaptation has once again confirmed that the long-awaited second season of the supernatural thriller drama is slated to air in January 2021, after being delayed from its original October 2020 date. To celebrate, a new key visual has been posted illustrated by Kazuaki Shimada and finished out by both Mai Yamaguchi and Tomoyuki Shiokawa which is shown in full below:



The unveiling of the new key visual also coincides with a special site commemorating the 4th anniversary of the franchise, in the Promised Never Festival which includes special events such as celebrating Emma's birthday later this month, a YouTube hero image contest for the Promised Neverland radio show on YouTube and a Nico Nico livestream of the first season, among other events, which culminate in a "nationwide exam" that will be conducted online and consists of a 50 question test, as well as an online election to decide the ranking of fan favorite characters..
