Detective Conan Compilation Film Focusing on Akai Family Gets Limited Theatrical Run Next Month

Narration by Conan Edogawa (CV: Minami Takayama) is newly recorded

 

 

A special compilation film from the Detective Conan anime franchise, titled Meitantei Conan: Hiiro no Fuzai Shoumei  / Detective Conan: The Scarlet Alibi, is set to be screened in Japanese theaters for a limited time of three weeks from February 11, 2021.

 

The film focuses on the four members of the Akai family, who will play the important roles in the forthcoming 24th film Meitantei Conan: Hiiro no Dangan / Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet. The family consists of Shuichi Akai, an FBI agent and sniper; Masumi Sera, a high school girl detective; Shukichi Haneda, a professional shogi player who has won seven championships; and Mary Sera, a girl who calls herself the "sister outside the realm" and is really the mother of the family. The compilation film introduces the personalities and highlights of each person.

 

Also, the soundtrack has been newly edited for this limited screening and new narration by Conan Edogawa (CV:Minami Takayama) has been recorded. Furthermore, a newly produced footage "A Secret Message from Shuichi Akai" and a new trailer for Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet are attached in the end of the film.

Meitantei Conan: Hiiro no Dangan / Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet was originally scheduled to be released in Japan on April 17, 2020, but has been postponed for one year due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. Now it is newly set for a release on April 16, 2021.
