Isekai reincarnation series searches for happy ending
The stakes are high and the story branches are devastating in an upcoming isekai anime.
I Reincarnated into an Otome Game Villainess with Only Destruction Flags... is a light novel series boasting over 600,000 sales in print. The story by Satoru Yamaguchi is a twist on the popular isekai reincarnation genre, in which our heroine — a princess named Katarina Claes — tries to search for a happy ending despite knowing she has no options for one.
A new PV narrated by Fumihiko Tachiki (Gendo Ikari in Evangelion) has revealed that the series is on course for an anime adaptation:
Princess Katarina recalls her previous life when she hits her head on a rock: she was once a normal high school girl addicted to the otome game FORTUNE LOVER, and now she's living in it. Unfortunately, Katarina is the player's rival in the game, and has only "destruction flags," meaning there is never a good outcome for her. If the player wins, she's exiled from the kingdom with only the clothes on her back; if the player loses, Katarina is killed by the object of her affection. Knowing she has only Bad Ends in store, Katarina does her best to make it to old age.
More information on the release of Destruction Flag Otome will be released at a later date.
