Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop anime film to open May 15 in Japanese cinemas
Upcoming anime film from director Kyohei Ishiguro (Your Lie in April), Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop, got an eye-popping new trailer on January 16 showcasing the colorful film.
Words Bubble Up Like Soda Pop is the story of the "a boy meets a girl" romance that focuses on Cherry, a haiku-loving boy who is not good at communication with others, and Smile, a girl who always wears a mask to hide the braces on her front teeth. They accidentally meet in a shopping mall and start deepening their relationship via social media with words and music.

The anime film is an original film for Flying Dog’s 10th anniversary as a company. It will be directed by Kyohei Ishiguro at Signal.MD and Sublimation with character designs by Yukiko Aikei (chief animation director on Love Live! School Idol Project), and a screenplay by Dai Sato (Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex). The film will release in Japan on May 15.
