Enako, Ayako Inokuchi, Michopa, and more put on pirate outfits
Some of Japan's top models, cosplayers, and female actors appeared in this week's Weekly Playboy magazine in cosplays from One Piece in celebration of the manga series hitting 1,000 chapters. Weekly Playboy is a weekly magazine from Shueisha (the parent company of Weekly Shonen Jump), which publishes manga aimed at men alongside gravure photoshoots with Japanese models.
Shueisha has released some promotional images from the One Piece photoshoot through Japanese press, which features:
Japan's top cosplayer Enako as Perona and Shirahoshi
Gravure model Ayako Inokuchi as Nico Robin
Actor and model Asuka Kawazu as Rebecca
TV Tokyo announcer Reina Sumi as Tashigi
Japanese model TOOMI as Boa Hancock
And finally, featured on the cover is Japanese fashion model Michopa as Nami, and in the magazine as her favorite character Chopper
The above images are only a taste of the full collaboration in this week's issue, which also features the girls dressed up as more characters, as well as comments from well-known celebrities that are fans of One Piece. Some of the above girls went to their personal Twitter accounts to express their excitement over the collaboration and share some behind-the-scenes images.
