The party is growing!

The cast of Love Live! Sunshine!! fantasy anime spinoff Genjitsu no Yohane -Sunshine in the Mirror- has added six new cast members, as well as early character designs for each. The announcement dropped today as a video on the upcoming series's official Twitter account.

Most of the cast members are returning from Love Live! Sunshine!!, making their mark in Yohane's fantastical world. Look out for these voice actors reprising their roles from the original series:

• Hekiru Shiina as Yohane's mother
• Rie Kugimiya as Chika's mother
• Kana Asumi as Shima, one of Chika's older sisters
• Kanae Itō as Mito, one of Chika's older sisters
• Tomoyo Kurosawa as Tsuki, You's cousin

Also joining the cast is M.A.O (Iris in Fire Force, Shion in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime). She will be appearing as a new character named Kohaku.

The original Aqours members return for Genjitsu no Yohane -SUNSHINE in the MIRROR- with Asami Nakatani (Ensemble Stars!) at the helm as director, Toshiya Ono (86 EIGHTY-SIX) writing the scripts as the series composer, Yumiko Yamamoto (Sword Art Online Alicization War of Underworld) as the character designer and Tatsuya Kato returning to Love Live! Sunshine!! as the music composer. Sunrise is credited for anime production.

Genjitsu no Yohane -SUNSHINE in the MIRROR- was originally an illustration series in the Love Live! Days Love Live! Sogo magazine which also inspired a short manga in the same magazine in February this year. Genjitsu no Yohane -SUNSHINE in the MIRROR- is scheduled to broadcast in July 2023.
