  • Got me addicted to anime
This show is the first show that got me hooked, in fact so hooked I even started to read the manga. It has everything you would want in a story from duels, real recipes to stuff you can relate to. I really love this show and hopes they keep it going as long as the manga is!

    this anime is so good
Everytime I watch this at night, it's a must to get a snack or some food first (though my food is nothing compared to the stuff in food wars). It's very exhilarating whenever there is a shokugeki/food battle going on (involving Soma most of the time) and there IS romance in this, just not as much as regular romance anime since it mainly focuses on cooking.

this also has a 80% chance to ...

  • Food Porn for the Ages
Honestly, if you do not like this anime simply because it has a bit of ecchi in it then you are missing out, so please go back to drinking your soylent shakes and leave the rest of us to enjoy. This is an anime about cooking plain and simple, and what good food can do to the body and soul. Good food should nourish the body yes, but great food will nourish your soul and this anime captures that ...

  • An Amazing Anime That Stays True To The Manga!
Shokugeki no Soma is at the top of my recommendation list. If someone needs an anime/manga to watch, or wants to get introduced to anime/manga, I point them in the direction of Shokugeki no Soma. I feel like reviewing the anime is virtually the same as reviewing the manga, because at every turn and twist, the show stays true. The art style makes the food look radiant and delicious, and I always ...

  • One of the greatest!
I, myself, love to cook and this show is not only extremely accurate, but it has shown some amazing dishes that I, myself have only seen coked once at most. This is definitely one of my favorite anime and there are several dishes in which the taste was even accurately described. Not to mention the story line focuses more on the cooking and the chef instead of focusing on what is ...

  • The ultimate guilty pleasure.
There are a ton of other reviews out there, so I'll keep this one short. This show serves no purpose, the story is about food, and it should be something I would normally hate. I'm watching an anime about people cooking food. And i love it. I have no idea why.

  • NEVER ENDING FOODGASM!
Note: This review is only based off of Season 1: Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma. An update will be applied to do this one after Season 2 ends.

I have been meaning to get around to watching this anime. I heard so many great things about it and I kinda regret that I haven't gotten around to it sooner.

Plot: The overall plot is quite simplistic and somewhat common in a ...

A show for people who absolutely love cooking and getting hungry while watching anime!
As someone who actually works as a cook, I am amazed at how much of this anime is actually linked to the real world. Sure, some of the techniques you wouldn't try, but about 90% is stuff we use and cook your food with. Also, the pacing and characters in this show is absolutely amazing.

Gimme more of this show! Make this the new Naruto/Bleach/One Piece!

  • Perfect Manga Adaption
The animation, music, and original story all come together to make you want the next chapter even more. This being the Main Tournament arc of the series, it picks up right after the first season with improvements all around, and leaves room for future sequels.

  • Good for passing the time
It doesnt have an actual thick story line, but its very entertaining and the art is sooooo good. It actually hurts me i cant taste the food they make. it looks sooooooooo delicious!!!
Its a good anime to pass the time and get hungry XD i actually enjoyed it.
But still, how can they mix ecchi with cooking? anime has no limits.
