  • One big stew of sexual frustration
This show is about something as mundane as food. And yet it is incredible. That just shows how great the characters are. They are fully fleshed out in this show. Soma is a terrific protagonist. He might be the best one Shoen Jump has to offer and I don't say that lightly. The characters are strong, the cooking battles are exciting, there is very little wrong with the show. Mine, and people's ...

  • Worlds greatest anime ever made!
I love Dragon Ball and Naruto series but, this I will rewatch each episode 4-5 times begging for more and more This anime hits all the right spots from action, educational, compelling story, and really super well written characters! Yukihira Soma is one character that fearless but yet not perfect but won't give up while he can get better at failing.

  • Amazingly fun to watch
When you think of a Shonen, you dont typically think of food. But here everyday is a battle and the kitchen is the battlefield! Great characters, good comedy, and factual cooking make this a wonderful anime. While it does suffer from the get strong, defeat bad guy, lose get stronger again formula, it masks it well enough that it doesnt deter from the overall plot.

  • For experienced chefs
A remarkable show that only seems heavy on ecchi elements if you've never eaten exceptional food. Being a foodie and being married to a real chef I can easily say this is one of the first shows that actually manages to hit the right tone on both exceptional experiences of food as well as having the most solid cooking theory I've ever found in any show outside of the food network. People who are ...

  • Food Wars, If you aren't watching it, there's a problem!
At first the idea of a 'Food Anime' is a bit 'dull' as in the thought that it's originality or longevity would be at stake. Along with that of character development. But, I was wrong. Since Episode 1, Dish 1- I've been hooked and I show up every Tuesday to see the new Episodes. The First Season sets the parameter sand entices the viewer with foreshadowing and Character envelopment [Along with the ...

  • surprisingly entertaining
this anime really engulfs you into the story line. it is a classic story about the hero going up against all odds, where the antagonists underestimate the talents because they judge the hero where he is from. typical dont judge a book by its cover. i dont want to ruin the story line. just watch it and i'm sure you will enjoy it.

  • Do you like cooking? Do you love naked people? Then this is the show for you!
Food Wars takes a premise that has been done before but never with this much style, exubereance and enthusiasm.

Food Wars really is about the cooking with a healthy dose of fanservice because nothing says food tastes good then when it forcibly rips of your clothes it's so tasty.

  • Great humor and Drama
Never thought i'd find a more addicting anime to watch, the humor tickles every genre and the story as a whole is very enrapturing. I used to be addicted to naruto: Shipuuden but this series really took the cake for me. I have never been so excited for new episodes to release for this series.

Pure genius, I cannot stop watching.
To preface this review, I will say that I have been watching anime since the early Dragon Ball days and have seen almost anything and everything considered mainstream/popular/hidden gems/unorthodox. And this show has managed to greatly impress me. It's obvious that a lot of love went in to making this series, from the music and animation quality, to the recipes that can be created in real life and ...

  • Food porn and soft porn
No issues with the former (other than consistently craving whatever they're cooking in each episode), but I tend to get fed up with over-the-top fan service. However I liked this show enough to overlook that. This is actually really good anime: good characters, storyline, etc. Most of the characters have their own specific cooking style and background story, and they grow in their own way as the ...
