I mean, some drugs had to be involved right? Going for that shotgun was probably the dumbest thing she could've done. She could've been shot and killed over shoplifting. Idiot.

She's been arrested numerous times on drug and burglary charges so yeah. She was charged with possession again in this incident as well.

She's certainly trending into Faces of Meth territory.

Good find!

In the parking lot? Good luck with that. They could of shot the tires but that would of probably just endangered more people. Actually, I think they responded to this really well.

Not really. More people were put in danger by that vehicle than if an officer would have fired a couple of times while she was still five feet away from them.

Well luckily we have a legal system that implicitly makes it so cops can only act when lives are implicitly threatened. Sure a run away vehicle has potential to be dangerous. But so does a man walking a bulldog down the street. We don't start executing every economy of threat immediately because we have brains that allow us to discern the relevancy of hazards.

You may think that people opening full blast on every dangerous situation is acceptable, but I assure you, that's a kind of society that has no right to call itself free.

Skills? She wrecked a car, nearly into a home that could've had a family in it, then tried and failed to grab the shotgun so she could kill police officers. That's not skilled, even for a criminal.

Lets just ignore the fact that she unbelted herself, slid of cuffs, assessed the situation calmly, and waited, slid up front, and then evaded police for some time. All the while seeming fairly calm and collected. Not just anyone has that ability.

What a goofball.

Actually, she's much worse than just a goofball if she was reaching for the shotgun, I guess. Some humans just go feral and become impossible to deal with, often for the rest of their lives.

Actually, in layman's terms that is what's happening. Your body uses dopamine as a mechanism to steer you towards beneficial behavior. It becomes a means to drive you towards sex, or food, or socializing in your day to day life. All things you need to pass on your genes more effectively. Most addictive drugs double sometimes triple the levels of dopamine for a situation. Meaning, your body starts to think that the drug is more important then things you actually need to survive. You do become feral. That's what's so tragic about these drugs is people don't even realize the makeup of your own chemistry most the time and how you are tricking it to work against you.

this is the woman you go to for advice when you need to infiltrate some dangerzone-- she has a unique skill that will come in handy when you got caught-- either that or small wrists

She's the type of person you'd want on your side if you're ever "Taken"

This. If you think any "special skills" were on display here, you are a fool. She didn't pick the locks, she slipped out of them because she's a small woman who was being arrested for a minor misdemeanor. She didn't cleverly defeat the partition, she slipped through it because a) she is small and skinny, and b) the officers were complacent. Again: minor crime, small woman, little perceived threat. All the "patriarchy" out there means the officers are a lot less likely to really crank the handcuffs down on this perp in this situation. The only special skill she displayed was an uncanny ability to feign innocence.

I don't see any "calm and reasoned analysis" on her part. A calm and reasoned analysis would indicate that compliance would lead to a minor fine or community service (inconveniences), while fleeing arrest and posing lethal threat to the population would come with a hefty punishment. A calm and reasoned analysis would indicate that even if she *did* manage to evade capture initially, she has already been positively identified, and *would* be caught eventually, at which point, again, the consequences have increased exponentially.

No, all I see is a cognitively impaired woman who is physically *incapable* of a reasoned analysis of her situation or of logical appreciation of the immensely increased personal risk she was invoking with her rash, poorly considered course of action.

Oh, and no. No special operations or espionage agency would EVER consider recruiting such a person. Skills can be taught easily enough. Self discipline, reasoning, and loyalty cannot. This woman is the furthest thing from what they're looking for.
