My favorite manga are: (I mostly read romance manga, broadly defined, and all of these have some romance in them)

Ah My Goddess (comedy, drama, supernatural, some action, seinen)
SA: Special A (shoujo comedy)
My Love Story (shoujo comedy)
Umi no Misaki (seinen harem, supernatural)
Uwagaki (shounen, supernatural)
Kare Kano (shoujo, comedy, drama)
Angel Densetsu (shounen, fighting, comedy)

Some other very good, lesser known ones:
Aishiteruze Baby (shoujo, family drama)
Bonnouji (seinen, comedy)
Change 123 (seinen, comedy, martial arts)
Koi Dano Ai Dano (shoujo comedy)
Mahorabo (shounen comedy)

I started reading A Compendium of Ghosts recently! It was just released on Lezhin Comics' site, and its plot relies heavily around Korean mythology with the art style drawn to mimic old scroll art. I looked into it because the concept seemed cool, but the story and characters drew me in very quickly and I couldn't stop reading! If you like drama and some elements of mystery, I think you would enjoy this one! Even though it's new, it already has 19 chapters out, so there's plenty to read.
If you end up liking it, please let me know! I would love to be able to talk about the story with someone else!

Elfin Lied
Forewarning/disclaimer: this is violent, graphic, sexual, etc. and will mostly likely make you cry several times. But it easily one of the best things I've ever read. Having said that, there is not official English translation as far as I know, so yeah.

and

The World God Only Knows
On a much brighter note, this one is comedy and a little bit of drama. The characters are great and that's really what drives it. Elsie best girl.

I like Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind by Hayao Miyazaki. The Ghibli film is a highly condensed version of the 7-volume manga.

Just started Puella Magi Tart Magica and it's pretty good so far. Recommended if you like magical girl stories in general or especially Madoka Magica, this is a historical fantasy based on the legend of Jeanne d'Arc and the Hundred Years' War. There are 4 volumes so far, number 5 comes out later this year I believe.

I usually buy manga (dead tree format, gotta have a physical copy) on Amazon.

If your looking for new ones I would recommend The Promised Neverland, or Dr. Stone, both are excellent in my opinion.
